Sadly, Windows' smartscreen service deletes the game right off the bat, calling it malware. Wasn't able to play :(

EDIT: You can allow it through by quarantining it and then choosing "allow." I left a separate comment with my thoughts on the game. Thanks!

sad

King this is amazing content if you are able to you should try and put this on steam so maybe the algorithm could shoot this into stardom, because this was an absolute pleasure to play!

(+2)

You have to pay a mighty fine to publish games on steam now, so sadly I doubt that'll happen.

took me some time to figure out the password

I sat for 20 min thinking why isn't the answer

had to look once again until I saw that I misplaced 2 letters

but it was worth it at least good story

Whats the password tho i still cant get in although having all the letters

This game came by my way just in the right time. I can´t wait to share it with my friends.

The Linux version not only doesn't work, but makes no sense at all. I unzip it and cd into it, and try and run `./DUST`. Permission denied. So, I `chmod u+x ./DUST`. I run it again. `./DUST: line 17: /home/user/Downloads/Linux/data/ags64: Permission denied`. I try with `sudo`, same thing.

Please, if you're going to make a Linux build, PLEASE TEST THAT IT WORKS!

The windows build works fine under wine, but please test your program before you push it out.
Via stiiin's solution, the screen is zoomed in and the cursor is super slow. As a Linux user, this just makes me really sad.

sudo isn't needed. The second error message is about ./data/ags64: running it isn't allowed, because it isn't marked as executable. To make the zip work, you need to add the execute permission to not one, but two files:

chmod +x ./DUST ./data/ags64

Dev, if you distribute executables for Linux, please use a format that supports permissions out of the box, such as tar (usually as tar.gz).

Thank you, and seriously? This feels like it should've been tested. (Guessing AndyL4nd doesn't use Linux and just hit the build button?)

Also, upon trying the Linux build, the screen is zoomed in and the cursor is super slow, but it worked fine under wine.

You're making a big deal out of a small mistake. I find it highly unlikely that Andy didn't check his work, but he probably didn't know that .zip doesn't preserve file permissions (without extra work).

> There is nothing to launch the game. It sets env variables which are never referenced and just ends.

This is just categorically wrong. It looks to me like you're trying to blow what is now an obviously minor issue out of proportion to justify your initial needlessly aggressive comment.

The ./DUST script is set up in such a weird way. Furthermore, the GAME DOESN'T EVEN WORK PROPERLY.

> Also, upon trying the Linux build, the screen is zoomed in and the cursor is super slow, but it worked fine under wine.

I can literally see one fourth of the content I'm supposed to see.

Hey, I see your comment. Thanks for letting me know. This is my first time programming anything, so sorry for the inconvenience. I took it down to avoid any other issues and I'll look into having it run properly for my future projects.

My antivirus deleted the game when i got the "look until it's cooked" screen. Is there anything malicious with that?

Nope, probably just a delay in the scan. Quarantine it in the Protection History menu and then choose allow.

It was...amazing

thank you just simple yet touching

Sweet :)

Can't stop thinking about the secret message and how nice this game made me feel. Makes me that much more appreciative of what I've got going on in my life and the memories i'm making at current, be them bad or good. :-) thanks for this cool experience!

(-2)

I got a memory saying "password:" is it rare? Because I can't find it anymore.

(+2)

I spent a fun hour or so just looking at the animations, what a miracle for me to find this cute, neat game.

(+1)

This is quite the miracle :)

what a great ending to a great game

Andy i am a big fan!!! But sadly i have a macOS ;w;

You could try using a virtual box to emulate Windows!

I want to pet Dust

(+4)

all the sapariers here LOL  love your work

*cries in mac*

Thanks, this was nice.

This shows the whole timeline, from life to death.

But as we saw, Dust was seeing some of his memories...
Is that the actual Dust?

Also this app invades their privacy so much.

i smiled instantly when i saw sapari cat

Pretty god damn neat.

10/10 I like the message! R.I.P. Dust <3

This is the first time I've seen something available for Windows and Linux, but not MacOS.

Truly is a coincence.

Another person who knows of SAPARi and Sapari cat ^_^

Sorry about that, should work now! 🤞 Thanks!

Hey! If you could look at my latest comment, the Linux version you pushed out really doesn't work at all. :/
