I genuinely bawled my eyes out to this, the message at the end just hit so hard I could not stop myself from crying. I felt so seen and appreciated in that moment and nothing could have prepared me for it. I don't even fucking use itch.io but I had to make an account and say this game genuinely brought so much love to my heart for myself, thank you Andy <3
I don't think he's depressed. You know how, when bad things and good things happen, you tend to remember the bad things really well? I think he just had a lot of not-so-nice memories stuck in his head and wanted to share them. But he had a lot of good to go with the bad. I think the good made it all worth it. He had a long life and seemed pretty happy after it all :)
unable to play the game. the in-game mouse doesn't function nor does my actual cursor. i can't proceed past the "click to begin" screen because i can't click anything.
I just found this in my games folder after not playing it for I don't know how long, and saw the hint card which I don't think I ever saw before and it was kind of surreal to find the secret after all that time.

I got it working just with a standard wine install. It crashed the first time because my wineprefix was out of date, but after updating it was fine.
If that doesn't work, try Proton-GE.

Just noticed how the sound effects sound like the beats/rhythms of a song, dang this was well thought out, it's awesome!
is it just me or every time i open the game there are more memories because I definitely feel like i saw more then 100 🤔
